That's right -- they are add-ons. Otherwise, the VS program itself is identical in both Pro and Ultimate versions.
As for whether they are worthwhile, that really depends on what you do in your editing. I personally love the Mercalli anti-shake filter but never use Boris as I have other titler programs...
