Video Studio Pro X5 - Global Photo Duration Change
I have produced a movie which is a mixture of mostly still photos and some video clips all in the VS X5 Video track. Having now watched the finished movie on my TV, I now wish to extend the duration of all photos.
Is there a way to globally change the duration of all photos?

Re: Video Studio Pro X5 - Global Photo Duration Change
Hi Trevor,
Thank you for your prompt reply.
As the production is of a 3 month trip, it has in excess of 900 photos (and some video clips) so I would like to do a 'Global Change' on all photos rather than click on each one.
Any ideas?
Best regards,
Ron M

Trevor basically gave you the method but perhaps did not explain fully
select ALL of the photos in your project by clicking on the first one to highlight it - then go to the last photo in your project and hold down the 'Shift' key while you click on it (Shift+click)
this should highlight all images.
Then 'Edit' >> 'Change Image/Colour duration'

Hi Brian,
Thank you for your clarification.
I followed your instructions which highlighted all however when I clicked Edit, the option to 'Change Photo/Colour Duration' is greyed out and not available.
Am I still missing something?
Best regards,

You made a simple error Ron, After highlighting all your images, RIGHT click on the selected images, then select Change Photo/Colour selection.

Re: Video Studio Pro X5 - Global Photo Duration Change
Very strange because the 'Edit' >> 'Change Image/Colour duration' works for me - as does Roberts suggestion of a right click and select.
are all the images surrounded by one complete yellow box after you have done the "select - - - shift+select" move.
and very important - do you have Ripple editing enabled - if yes disable it

Re: Video Studio Pro X5 - Global Photo Duration Change
Thanks Robert & Brian,
I now see the problem - I intentionally had 'ripple editing' enabled for the purpose of automatically extending the other tracks of titles and music in sync with the proposed photo duration extensions.
I have now disabled it and extended all photo durations however as expected caused the other tracks to be out of sync so it will be very tedious to manually adjust everything.
Is there any easy way to get over having to manually move every title and adjust the music track to follow the changes to the photos in the video track?

Re: Video Studio Pro X5 - Global Photo Duration Change
It is a strange quirk of VideoStudio that the very thing which is vital when extending ALL photos (Ripple Editing) prevents you from extending all the images at once, but I am afraid all you can do now is manually reset all the rest of your tracks.
The real solution to the problem though is to decide before you even start editing how long you want your images to show for and set that time as the default in preferences so that when you add an image it is automatically at the length you require.

Re: Video Studio Pro X5 - Global Photo Duration Change
I did expect the 'ripple editing' option to do what it is supposed to do when extending ALL photos so this is disappointing - maybe in a future version?
Many thanks to all who who have offered advice, it is much appreciated.
