I like part of a preset Title effect, but don't want all of the animation sequence to play.
The full animation of the preset Title effect is:
Letters of text flies in from all different directions to form a static word and then letters fly off.
I would like to only have the letters of the text flying in and just remain on the screen. I've looked at customizing the filter (Zoom Motion) and altered / deleted key frames but cannot stop the text flying out. Is this possible, or is this too deep an operation for the program to handle?

Hi
Select the title clip in the timelines
Select the Attributes tab, below the library.
Click the preview screen to select the text box.
Click the “TT” symbol
This opens a panel that allows you to manually set the animations.
You can also select the animation type from the box to the left of the TT
Experiment with the settings in the TT panel

Re: Adjusting preset Title effects in VSproX4
Thanks for the response.
This is a weak area in VSproX4 with some inconsistency regarding the '“TT” symbol', 'animation type selector & box', with reference to the title effects. Some title effects do not show the animation type used and the TT symbol is greyed out. For others TT symbol is selectable, the animation type is shown, but not in the box.
Consistently, the moving path animation, has no user alterable attributes. So I'll just compromise my ideas to suit the program.
Thx

Re: Adjusting preset Title effects in VSproX4
To stop the text from flying out, you need to drag the out-marker all the way to the right and then adjust the in-marker to where you want the animation to pause. "Where are the makers," you ask? Make sure the animation radio button is selected, then look below the preview window to see two orange/yellow markers on the preview mini-timeline. Don't get confused by markers that are shown when in 'Project" mode. You have to be in "Clip" mode, and as I said, the animation radio button has to be selected. Lots of times when editing, the "Filter" radio button will become selected, which deselects the "animation" radio button. You can have both filters and animation at the same time, but you have to select which option you are going to adjust next.

Re: Adjusting preset Title effects in VSproX4
Hi
Maybe we did not cover all aspects of creating and editing titles, as you have noticed the two TT’’s approach does not cover all animation types, some just cannot be manually set.
If you wish to have the text fly in, stay on screen then use a different animate out, you can do this by using two titles.
Basically you create the first text box/clip
From the timeline copy the clip, right click – copy—drop adjacent
Now change the animation of the second clip to say fade out. You could of course use fly out in a different direction.
There are quite a lot of options and combinations you can choose.
I have attached a zipped VSP project file, this will open in X4.
It has a few samples of text animating across the screen, notice that more than one clip may have been used.
Hope this helps
