I have 12GB RAM, 2GB Video card. i7-2600 quad core cpu. VS5 PRO. I am loading a lot of pics (jpg) about 600 pics. I also load in about music files. Everything goes great, and I can run the project.
But, if I try to change anything, move a music file, delete, or move a jpg, the program freezes. I get the 'hour glass' indicator, and it just sits there. Left it for a couple of hours and it was still frozen (with the 'not responding' up on the title bar). I can then shut down, and restart. Everything works fine, until I try to adjust something. Then, it freezes again.
When I restart, load the project, and go to Share, it will go to rendering, and run up to 2% and then it just freezes. Left it for about 5 hours and it was still sitting at 2%.
After a couple of days of trying all the different versions of Share. Uninstalling, reinstalling, updating with SP1 and SP2, still the same problem. Renders up to 2% and freezes.
I used the exact same files (pics and music) in Windows Live Movie Maker, and it just went lickity split. Allowed me to fit the videos to the music, so both finished at the same time (something I can't seem to do with VS5) and I tried a couple of different ways that WLMM has of rendering to file, and to DVD, and no problems.
Any suggestions about what is wrong with my VS5? I purchased, downloaded from the Corel website and registered it, so, that shouldn't be a problem.
