PSP X4 cannot catalog any images

PSP X4 v13.3.0.3

PSP X4 was just updated and now I can't catalog any images. I can navigate via "Browse more folders" and select my main pictures directory, but in the Organizer I see no thumbnails.
i have more than 4,000 files (almost entirely .jpg files) and now I can't see any of them unless I access them via <File><Open>
This is very frustrating, as I had a system that was just fine 24 hours ago, but now I'm essentially hamstrung.

I'd really appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction. Cataloging simply does not occur.

More than a week later, I have had no response to this question from Corel.
This product is now effectively dead to me. I have been a registered PaintShop user since Jasc PaintShop v. 3, I think - I'm not 100% sure.
My only recourse is to uninstall it and reinstall v. X2 and hope that it doesn't also get automatically updated.
I'm very disappointed by this lack of response, since this forum is recommended by Corel as the best way to get answers, short of paying for a support call.
I'll have to start using another tool in the future.

Sorry Henry - Corel will not respond to you here, this is a User to User web forum where unpaid volunteer users do what they can to help other users - we are not paid or retained by Corel.

Even those of us who administer the forum are not paid by Corel - the fact that you have not received an answer simply means that no other user who has visited in the last week knows the answer to your problem.

Have you thought about doing a System Restore to a point before the update occurred? Or else reinstalling X4 but not updating it this time?

I don't know if this will help with your problem. I'm running Win 7 and have a display problem with parts of PSP X5 (and X4) and have had to turn off desktop composition in order to view preview windows on two of my tabs. I know this is a different area than the tray in PSP, but you might give it a try if nothing else has worked.

facebook or twitter are the best places to get Corel's response. It's simple, if you post a problem on their page of a social media site that other potential users looking at the software might be viewing Corel isn't going to want to see that sit without a response. If they respond quickly it will give the illusion that they will take care of their customers. You'd come here to bounce ideas off of other users, which in some cases can be more helpful than technical support.
