Significant pixilation when rendering multi trim video

Post by rdonko »

Hi all,

I’ve been experiencing a frustrating issue after I multi trim a video. The source video is great quality however the output is very pixelated especially when motion is introduced.

The details…

-system exceeds all system requirements for Visual Studio x5

-the source file is a .ts (h264) file that has been captured via Hauppauge Colossus utilizing SageTv media centre

-I can watch the files without issue on virtually any device and software in its native format however there was a particular show that I wanted to remove the commercials

-captured ts file details, 1920x1080, 3400 datarate, 5ch, 29:37 mins, 29.97 fps

I attempt to remove a few commercials and then save the file, unfortunately I cannot save directly to TS but m2t is available and have also tried mp4. Results are poor.

I have changed the following settings.

Smart Proxy – disabled
Resampling -- best
Time vs. quality – 100% on the quality side
2 pass encode – tried it
1920x 1080 min data rate for render in Corel is 6000 so I leave it.
Encoder drive is ULEAD only

Can I add an encoder? If so how?

Thanks
