THM file

When I go to download video clips from my media card some of them show up as THM files and I am unable to play them. What causes this? When I try to open in video studio 7 it doesn't recognize the file type. What can I do so I can view these?

These are thumbnails produced by Canon's ZoomBrowser software. They are in a proprietary format that isn't recognized by any other program.
