When I installed PaintShop Pro X5, I listed the associated files (all of them). Now, when I go to the associated files, I cannot change the list (one or the total list). I check the boxes, but nothing changes. Please tell me the steps so I can change these associated files.
Thanks.

Re: Cannot Change Associated Files
To associate the files with a new program you have to set the association for that program. You cannot unassociate a file from PSP directly. This is a Windows thing.
Once you have a file-type associated with a program, Windows does not want you to orphan that file. So to change the association, you have to have another program claim it.
Well.....you can use the command prompt to orphan a file with the right command if you wanted to but most don't like to do that.
If you don't know how to do this already, open your start menu and type "set default programs." Select the option that comes up. This should bring up the "Set your default Programs" control panel.
Select the program from the left. Click "Choose defaults for this program" from the bottom and you can set the file types you want associated with that program.
