Paint Shop Pro X5 Service Pack 2 will not install

Post by Geoff Leeson »

I wonder if anyone can help. I have Paint Shop Pro X5 running on Windows 8 64 bit and Service Pack 2 is offered as an update but only runs to around 10% and a message appears saying it has successfully installed. It hasn't and my version stills show as 15.1.0.10. I have tried downloading the update and installing instead of running from the program but nothing works.
Has anyone had similar problems or know a fix?
Thanks in advance,
Geoff

Hi Geoff,

I had the same issue with Windows 7 32-bit. SP2 would not install fully, version info was stuck on SP1. I ended up removed X5 and doing a fresh install. So first the main installer, 15.0.0.183. Then straight to SP2, which is supported according to the updates page. SP2 installed fine and version info now reads, 15.2.0.12.
