DVD Workshop 2 hangs

I've got an HPpavilionzd7000 with an external NEC ND1100 (in a USB enclosure).

I select files to add to the DVD and the software hangs either when I add more than 3 files (400mb each /44 minutes long) or after I've added one, I go into the Finish area, Burn options and select the long play to maximize my data space. When I then select edit to add additional files, it hangs.

At that point the program is locked up and I have to go into Windows Manager where it says the program isn't responding.

Any idea?

Nothing else is running at the same time on the machine.
