X3 Stuttering MPG Output

I have a project with a number of mpg files in it. These mpg files were created using X3 from mts files.

I have done this many, many times. I created an mpg a few weeks ago without problems. Now, all of a sudden, I try to make the same mpg files and the exported video will stutter in places. It doesn't matter how many times I render the same project, the video stutters in the same exact spot. Like I said, I've done this many, many times and never had this problem.

Any ideas what may have changed or been installed on my computer recently to cause this? I even reinstalled X3 with no luck.

How would we know what has changed on your computer or what updates have been done?

Have you done any defrag on your computer lately? Are you running other programs when playing the video? What software player are you using to play the video?

What happens at the point (in your project) when it stutters?

I saw some reports that there were issues with Corel VS and iTunes and/or Quicktime updates etc. I wasn't sure if there were any known issues that I may have walked in to recently.

It's not a performance issue, it has something to do with mpg files because I have no problems rendering mts projects in to mpg.

The video stutters in the VS playback window once the video is done. It also stutters in Windows Media Player in the same places. There are no effects or anything like that in the video that would be related to the stuttering.

Just looking for any ideas. I have tried everything I can think of, short of formatting my computer.

If I had a video which stuttered in exactly the same spot no matter how many times I rendered it I would suspect a fault in the video - have you tried cutting out the bit that stutters and rendering a new file.

The problem is that it is not just one video that uses mpg's. It's all videos that use mpg's that have the problem.

Your PC looks like it is on the low end for doing video work. With only a 80Gb drive there cannot be much room for video files. Have you defragged and cleaned up the drive lately?
