One dialogue window is off the screen
I am not sure how this happened, but using PSPX3, when i need a new layer, the dialogue window is way to the top. The values and all are accessible but when i am doing live presentations or recording tutorials, this is an annoyance. It is so high that i cannot grab the top of the window and pull it down. It is only for that one dialogue window and only for that one PSP version.
I tried resetting the workspace to default, i tried reloading an old workspace, but that one stubborn dialogue window is still there on top.
I tried changing the screen resolution temporarily to see if i could "grab it" to move it back down, but it still is "ungrabbable".
Any other suggestion?

Re: One dialogue window is off the screen
Oh that is annoying. I remember that used to happen to me a lot with X3. Are you able to get the cursor anywhere near the top so you can right-click and bring up the "move" command?

Re: One dialogue window is off the screen
This does the same thing as right-clicking on the dialog title-bar.
Hit the Alt key, then the down arrow and it should give you the dialog menu.
Select move.
Use the Down arrow to nudge it back onto the screen.
Hit Enter to accept the new location.

Re: One dialogue window is off the screen
Try hitting Alt + Spacebar. This will open the move, restore, etc. dialog box. Hit the down arrow once and that should select the move command. Then try to move it - fingers crossed.

Re: One dialogue window is off the screen
OK, (before i saw your replies) fiddling some more, i managed to move my task bar to the right of my screen, reduce the screen resolution down to 800x600 (pretty low!) and the dialogue window was still out of reach. HOWEVER, when i reverted back to the normal resolution, and moved back the task bar to the bottom, the dialogue window was within reach so i moved it down, and it is staying down now if i use the New layer command.
Not sure exactly WHAT did the trick, but so far, it is ok. But i will post your suggestion on a postit note for future use.
Thanks.

Re: One dialogue window is off the screen
Hi Cassel,
I presume you mean the New Raster Layer dialog box. Have you tried clicking the Preview button. If the preview is not showing then it opens and bumps the dialog box down a little. If the preview is open then closing it puts it within range and you can then move it down the page.

Re: One dialogue window is off the screen
I had not tried that and since it is working now, i am not planning on trying for a bit!
Thanks for the suggestion anyways.

Re: One dialogue window is off the screen
I dragged my dialog box up near the top (but so I could still get to the edge of it to test it out). It seems to work but have not tested it with the top completeluy off the screen. I presume you could still see the Preview button.

Re: One dialogue window is off the screen
Actually no. I was not able to see the Preview button. It was stopping at the "Settings" so the top was waaaaaaaaaaaay out of reach! I am still not sure exactly how it worked, but doing what i posted above DID work. Crossing fingers it does not happen again!
