Double error codes and 6 wasted hours of my life.

Just as the title reads. I've spent the last six hours trying to get this stupid program working. I know that it's hard for programmers to get something to work on everything... but you'd think the world's largest PC brand might be one they paid more attention to... I own a Dell Dimension 4600 and just bought and installed a Pioneer DVR-A09XL. Part of the reason I bought it was the bundled software that came with it. It had some! I'd also read a great review in Maximum PC.
Right now my trouble is, though, at first I'd told the program to normalize the volume. After two attempts and an hour and a half wasted (only 256mb ram, ugh...) all that I got in return was some conversion error while analyzing the audio. Code was 4524. So I gave up on that assuming it was just a software and would eventually be taken care of. I can overlook some programming errors, I realize that things happen. So I just told it to burn my videos to the DVD. Simple enough, really. About three hours into creating the darned menu slide thing, it decided to quit with an error reading code 4570. I'm really ticked now, and if I can't get this to work, I'm just going to pack it all back up and haul it back to Best Buy and switch it out for an HP Lightscribe burner. It's not worth the danged hassle. If any of you can help, PLEASE let me know what to do!! Thanks in advance for anything you can contribute!
