The problem is Trevor that Roy started this topic by saying that he DID have problems "capturing" from his camera - and so far he has not told us he has succeeded .
but now suddenly we are talking mp3 Audio files ripped from somewhere - whether it is a CD or DVD we do not know.
even if it is a copyright DVD you can play it and record the audio on your PC

Your not on your own, I find it easy to get confused nowadays.
I guess we need Rollason to clarify exactly just what files is being used.
And yes you are correct that the DVD could be played whilst recording the sound.
