Cannot see Preview Images in Manage, Adjust or Edit modes
I purchased PSP 5 and uninstalled PSP 4. After installation, I am unable to see any image previews in manage, adjust or edit mode. I have installed the service pack updates with no change in this absent function. Neither the main window nor the organizer palette will display any jpg image previews. I CAN go manually to a specific file and open the image and edit it at will, but I cannot see any previews of any images in the main or organizer palette. Does anyone have a clue how to get the program to display image previews. I never had this problem before in any of the previous PSP versions. I have also uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled the program to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

Just reading your first sentence there is your mistake.
You can have multiple copies of PSP on your machine and use each for the best things it offers. From reading many of the forums people like one version for this feature and other versions for that feature. So keep them all .
Have you removed 5 and reinstalled X4 to at least have a working version or is that stuffed as well?
From reading elsewhere you may need to get some total removal tools to fully remove X4 and X5. I would then suggest that you go back and set up X4 again. and then make sure it is working and once againe try X5.
The only PSP I have ever had trouble installing was X3 way back fro a CD and I think I solved that one by turning off hardware acceleration although I do not know what that had to do with it. I was able to turn it back on after installation.
If X4 was working why did you uninstall it? That is like building a house and before checking that it is habitable you burn down your previous house.I purchased PSP 5 and uninstalled PSP 4.

Actually, I tried to reinstall PSP4 and am unable to do so. It stalls every time I try. Incidentally, I used REVO to do a thorough uninstall of PSP5 before attempting to reinstall PSP4 and still could not do so. But your reply does not address the underlying issue of PSP5 - I paid for a program that does not work properly. Is there any recourse? Why should preview not work. Does nayone know how to contact COREL to ask this question of them directly?
