DivX is just one of the formats that the Galaxy can record in. Have you tried to record video with some of the other formats available with that "camera"?

I did a few more test using your original uploade clip. Using Vs X5, I have not been able to get any video that is in sync. I have tried almost a dozen different settings and they all give the out-of-sync. I then used another Corel product (Roxio Creator 2012) and using the "same as Original" setting had no trouble creating a video that had no sync problem. I did a few more test (including edits) and had no problems. So that seems to indicate that VS has some problems with the mp4 format, at least with the video created by that camera.

I have not yet figured out how to change the settings of the Galaxy!

I have also tried to edit the original video in Camtasia, but also overther OOS (out of sync)
Now I'am goingto search for Roxio Creater.

I did not find a trial version of Roxio Creater 2012.

I've tried Magix software, but OOS.

Just an oddball guess, but can you load the video clip into the timeline, then split out the audio? If so, how does the length of the audio clip on the timeline compare to the video clip? What happens when you render at this point?

I'm thinking of buying a Samsung Galaxy SIII (not the SII), so I'm hoping it will not have the same out-of-sync issue that the SII apparently has.

Just played around with the original clip in VS X2 (don`t have later corel releases).

Also other software solutions which also display the out of sync characteristics mentioned.

As a workaround (VS X2) I split the audio and altered the playback speed of the audio to 96%
This then synced the audio and video (given sample) but obviously requires the resulting extra audio duration to be cut and deleted when saving.

Would be interesting to know if 96% would work applied to longer clips.

Good guess!

When I split audio and video I saw the audio timeline had shrunk a little.

But, Out Of Sync even when the soundclip is 12 frames longer.

I first made the sound timeline longer as I explaned in my former post. Then I set the speed of the sound on 96% as Shim says. The soundtimeline became longer. and I cut of the last few frames. It works for video's of this length. Bu I have 95 clips and have to made 20 video's of it. (all about 30 seconds)!

Unfortunately, variable framerate cams like Galaxy, iPod, iPad(?) are tricky to sync. The problem is that the OOS is unpredictable. They go with a fixed audio sampling rate, and an "up to 30fps" video framerate. The actual fps however depends on the ambient light, and picture content. So manual correction for each scene will be needed,.. unless Roxio has the wondertool which remaps the audiostream continiously.

FWIW, I just rendered your original file using Sony Movie Studio Platinum, using Baseline H.264. And it rendered with no out of sync problem.

One noticeable thing, though, was that in the timeline, it was very apparent that the audio stream was longer than the video stream immediately above it. Moreover, the video stream appeared to start towards the end of full frame, rather than at the beginning of one. But either way, Movie Studio, like Power Director, seems to have the ability to adjust the audio stream to the video stream.

I've installed Movie Studio Platinum and rendered the test original by first cutting the first seconds and the last ones. After rendering as a AVC/AAC .mp4 Internet 480p 4:3. I got a nice movie with no OOS.
I think the point is (as edna pointed us): How does the software handle with video's made by cams with variable framerate.

Thanks you all, but a pity I have to buy new software.

Horor!
I've rendered the video's in Movie Studio Platinum. Used the properties as in the firts clip. Saved it with the same higth and width. Played the viedeo's in VLC. The most of the 18 video's are good, no OOS. Played them in RealPlayer, the same result. Played them in Windows Media Player: Out Of Sync!
Horror.
I won't buy this program.
