Re: Samsung Galaxy SII
I'm afraid no one will be able to help you unless you tell us what the problem is exactly -- as well as telling us the exact Properties of the video in question. While I think it might be 1280 x 720p AVCHD, unless you give us details, no one can provide answers... If you can actually put the video into Video Studio, right click one of the clips -- either in the timeline or the library window -- and copy ALL its properties here, please.
You might also want to tell us how you transferred the video from the phone to your computer.

Re: Samsung Galaxy SII
Thanks Ken,
I've posted it in an earlier post, but no reactions.
I have a problem with editing my shots I've made with my smartphone, a Samsung Galaxy SII. I want to edit these shots in VideoStudio X4. When I've edit a shot and saved it as a .mp4, picture and sound are not synchronized, they walk apart, where the image is slower than the sound.
First properties is from the original shot, second of the clip I've made with VSX4.
Here is the original clip I transferd the video's from phone to the computer by WIFI.
(edit)
I've just transferd one clip by USB cable from the phone to the PC, edit the clip and saved in VS, but the problem is still there.

Re: Samsung Galaxy SII
Hope this helps. MP4 is a general video format. Below that are specifications like bit rate, mono/stereo, frequency, etc. Try to compare it from MP4s taken from your computer and from your galaxy. Possibly you can spot the difference.

Re: Samsung Galaxy SII
When you choose Share > Create Video, do you have the option to choose 'Same As First Clip'? If so, try using that.
If not, then when you render, try disabling the SmartRender option.

Re: Samsung Galaxy SII
Gavind and Ken, thanks for your reply!
When sharing the video, I choose Share > Create Video, and choose 'Same As First Clip'. The colors were terrible and the sound stil to slow.
SmartProxy was set off. No difference found.
I also shared a video with Costumized and set the options like the original shot from the Galaxy. No progress!
I will try to convert the orignal video to AVI and import it to VS for editing and create a AVI video. You will hear from me.

Re: Samsung Galaxy SII
Would it be possible for you to upload a short 30 sec or so problem clip to a free web hosting from where we could download it and play around with it?
In the two images you show, there are differences in the properties. Some of these are probably due to editing but some should not have changed. They are the ones that may be causing your out-of-sync.

Or you could load the sample to this site: http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 86#p263186 though you will need an FTP program to do so.

Thanks for your help so far.
I did not manage to enter the ftp by WS_FTP LE, so here are the links tot the video’s.
After editing

I shared the video as: Create video > MPEG-4 > iPhone H.264 (640x480)
The options are:
MPEG-4 bestanden
24 bits, 640 x 480, 30 fps
Frame-gebaseerd
H.264 Baseline Profile Video: 2500 Kbps
48000 Hz, 16 bit, Stereo
MPEG AAC Audio: 160 Kbps

Re: Samsung Galaxy SII
Dirk, thanks for uploading the original and edited clips. No problem at all in downloading.
I just did a quick test using X5.
Using you original mp4 file, I created a new file and used the "1st clip settings" for output. I did no editing at all on your clip.
The resulting file had the out of sync problem. I then compared the properties of the two files and found all sorts of differences in the properties as a result of the export. You can see those in the attached two images. The left window is from the original file and the right window is for the exported file. You would think that using the settings for "same as 1st clip" the properties of the out file would be the same and they obviously are not. For one, the output file is shorter by about .5 second, a lot of other properties have also been changed. Perhaps someone can explain why the properties are changed so much.

Re: Samsung Galaxy SII
Just to confirm that I too have had no luck so far rendering to a new file. I might note that, interestingly enough, when I first went to download the original file from dropbox, I first played it in the dropbox viewer, and the video and audio were out of sync there. However, when I downloaded it and played it in VS X5's preview, the video and audio were in sync.
After that, however, nothing seemed to work. Rendering with or without SmartRender to 'Same As First Video Clip' produced out of sync (OOS). Rendering using the mpeg optimizer: OOS (and perhaps the worst of the lot). Rendering to a baseline h.264 file with the same properties (or at least the default 30 fps): OOS.
I also noticed that the resulting files were all -- apart from the one produced by the optimizer -- shorter than the original's 22.32 seconds. One was 22.3 seconds, and the other two were 22.287 seconds.
I am unable to account for these differences -- apart from the rather inchoate thought that the slight variations in the video bitrate put it out of sync with the audio stream. But equally I am unable to account for the variations in the frame rate...
I also thought I would attempt to make a template using Make Movie Template Manager and its Add function. However, that refused to see any of the files I had created as well as the original file, all of which had the mp4 extension. I hadn't been aware of this limitation before. I tried changing mp4 to .mpg, but then it said the file had no video in it! So no luck there either.
