PSPX4 will not open

PSPX4 will not open
I recently bought a new computer with Windows 8 and installed my PSP X4 without a hitch, however, it will not open from the desktop, app menu or start menu, or by right clicking on the icon. I get the "thinking" circle for about 3 seconds and then nothing. Any ideas?

Make sure to install all of the service packs.
I know PSPX4 did not work on Windows 8 for me until I had installed SP1....or was it 2? But make sure it's up to date. Something about those service packs made it usable on Windows 8.
