Does anyone have any adea what these files are for?
I now have over 2GB of .UPT files.
For eg, yesterday I worked on 1 project and I see there are 159 files each of 2.3 -3.0MB is size.
Reason I ask is that when I start Picture show today, I get an error/warning message that it cannot read my project and that 'system resources are low'.
Nothing else is running, and I get this message from a fresh re-boot.
Appreciate the help
Thanks
John
UPT files in 'TEXT' directory

Okay, those are the "text" items you add to a picture. If you delete that folder than you will lose all the text on your slideshow. I would recommend saving your project to a new folder (to generate a new text folder) and then deleting the old text folder to get rid of any redundant information that might have picked up.

Okay, found out something recently you should know.
Normally the program is supposed to overwrite any redundant files, but in some cases (like yours) it recreates them isntead when you use "SAVE AS" even if you're overwriting an old file. As far as I can tell if you only use "save" it will continue to rewrite the file instead of adding new ones and blowing up the file size. I don't know if this is true on all versions of this problem, but that's the way it worked on my friends. (mine worked like it was supposed to.)
