Chapter titles in X5

I am pulling myhair out here HAve just purchased X5 and having fun playing with it BUT I cannot figure out how to put a title on a chapter. If I add a chapter it will come up with the thumbnail and the time under it But unlike the earlier versions where you could simple change the title and thumbnail to what you want X5 seems to have hidden this feature very well.\
Any help would be much appreciated in a simple step by step process.

where are you trying to change the title for the chapter - on the menu screen ? - it''s just the same as in previous versions.

Thanks for the reply Brian What I do is I go in and creat a Disc/DVD I then click on add/edit chapers and manually add the chapters where I want them I then click ok and go back to the add media screen and click next which takes me to the menu/preview page and from here I cannot find any way to add a specific name to each chapter. In VS9 and X3 I am sure that the chapter list was displayed and you could change the thumbnail and insert what text you wanted.
I have search Corels Help and Youtube with no success they all tell you how to edit the main menu but NOT each chapter menu
Any help would be appreciated

I am not sure where you are seeing a thumbnail with a timecode under it - VideoStudio names chapters "chapter 1", "chapter 2" etc.

but this is what you should see :-

after you have created the chapters and go back to the 'add media' screen you then click on 'next'

now look immediately under the preview screen and you should see "currently displayed menu" and a drop down which by default shows 'main menu' - click on the little down arrow of the drop down and select 'untitled' - this will change the preview screen to show your chapter thumbnails - double clicking on the title of any chapter should allow you to type in a new name.

just a warning one of the templates does not appear to allow any visible chapter names - it's the one with an aerial view of a city at night - I cannot find any chapter titles on that one.

Thanks Brian I finally found it where you said. Thanks for your help. The Chapters with time under it are when you actually create each chapter it is time based and when you go into the menu it is number based A tad confusing.

I never ever create chapters in the timeline because for many years there was a bug in VideoStudio which caused problems with chapter titles when you did that - so I always create chapters in the 'Create Disc' module - I actually find it easier as well.
