Format MPEG - only option that works

Hello. I am testing this software but when I stream video from my camera the quality is bad. I wanted to change the Format from MPEG to DVD-HQ but when I do it changes right back to MPEG and states no template. I check Advanced Settings / Video and Audio Capture Porperty Settings / Capture Tan and Advanced. The only template there is custom MPEG. Is there another piece of software I need? Thanks for looking and helping with the question.
