I have been troubleshooting the past couple days in trying to get my PSP to even open. I have googled and googled until my eyes just can't see anymore
I am running Windows 7 SP1. I have tried uninstalling using Revo Uninstaller, twice. I have also tried opening it by using the shift key which did reset the preferences but still won't open. I have turned off DEP svs for it.I have tried just about everything and I am very upset. Can anyone please help me? I can't afford to upgrade at this time.

Absolutely nothing happens. The little circle goes round a couple seconds and then nothing. I have tried opening as administrator also, made a new shortcut, went to actual program icon, still nothing happens...at all.
Did it ever work? Can you think of any changes you made to PSP or your system? Such as installing or removing a PSP plugin, or installing or removing any software?
Ken Yes, I think it can be eeeeeasily done...
Just take everything out on Highway 61.
has anyone solved this problem. I just ran into it as well and had been having some difficulty loading it for quite some time; now it won't start up after countless uninstalls and reinstalls. what's up?

Have you looked at the Task Manager to see if perhaps PSP is still a running process. This has happened to me from time to time and if I end the process via the Task Manager and then launch the program it will work.
I have noticed sometimes that a program does not start immediately and resist the urge to try and double click the icon to start it again. At one time I had 4 instances of Microsoft Office Outlook running at the same time and could not access the mail. Liooking in the task manager and clossing down those other instances solved the problem.
I think some of the slowness in opening may be due to the program checking for updates on the internet which may slow the opening down. In any case I have sometimes had it take 30 seconds or more to open. Uninstalling and reinstalling should be a last resort.

It is not running at all. I've checked task manager; it does not show up there. It did start getting real slow starting up for a while; then I got a message that a message could not be sent to the application (something like that), but now I don't get anything at all. It just does not start up.
