I've got 80 photos, each 1600x1200, ~600-800KB. I want to create a simple slideshow with an audio track. How long should it take for PS3 to finish this job? I have an AMD 2400+ and 512MB and a fast DVD burner.
I realize I can speed this up by resizing the photos beforehand. I'm just curious how long it should take if I leave the photos at their original size, letting PS3 do the conversion.
Is 4-5 minutes per photo a good estimate?

The results vary depending on the size of the picture files you are using as well. DVDs have a resolution of 720X480 for NTSC and 720x576 for PAL so it would be best to use pictures with 800x600 resolution.
Actually, the new versions of MovieFactory supports WMA. However, supporting WMA files is tricky. This is because most wma files have copy protection. You can only use those that does not have such.
Find a utility that can convert WMA files to mp3 so you can use them...
