Hi.
I've installed and registered the full version of VS8, but when Iuse Netscape to go to ULEADs download page for patches, the page is blank.
Others have downloaded patches so I wonder if this page has been recently disabled? Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Don

Forget Netscape and Internet Explorer. You really need to try Firefox for an internet browser. It is far better than any of the others.

I just tried the patches page on Ulead's site and all is well, so if you are getting a blank page then it is your browser.

Thanks for the help H.T. and Daz. You are right, it wanted to see Internet Explorer, then everything became visible and made the downloads possible.
I'm wondering what to do with VS8 Update Pack (build number: 8.01, release Date: 2004/09/06 since it says it is for Retail and ESD only. I haven't installed it yet until I'm sure it's the right one.
It seems like this update fixes the daylight saving time bug and so perhaps this is the the only patch needed to be installed for VS8.
I wonder if the box version of VS8 upgrade (from VS7) that I purchased from ULEAD ONLINE STORE qualifies as Retail?
What does ESD stand for?
Daz, I first heard about that new browzer you mentioned in todays paper, but the article talking about its popularity gave no details. I'll check into it. Thanks for the link.

ESD stands for Electronic Software Distribution and is the downloadable versions of VideoStudio as opposed to the Disc version (which is retail).
The patches supplied by Ulead will work with ESD and Disc purchased FULL versions - they will not work with trial versions or (except for a couple of notable exceptions ) with SE versions. So provided you paid for and downloaded the Full or Full upgrade version the patches should work on your copy.
The 8.01 Patch is NOT the daylight savings bug correction patch - that funnily enough is called - VideoStudio 8 Daylight Savings Time Patch (Release Date: 2004/12/10) - and can also be downloaded from here :-
