Open GL Compatibility

Post by OldSchoolNinja »

Greetings Fellow Artists,

I just recently bought Corel VideoStudio Pro X5. It's an amazing product and though the learning curve is a bit steep I've been satisfied. I have been utilizing the screen capture mode with good results. However I have run into a problem with Open GL. I can screen capture with no problem running applications under Direct X with very nice results. However when I run applications in Open GL everything seems to work but when I pull the clip into VSPX5 the entire clip is simply a still of the first frame. The clip "plays" as normal but it's as if I videotaped a still photo.

What is odd is that when I first got VSPX5 I thought I had recorded some things in Open GL (pretty sure I did but I can't be absolutely positive now). Logically it seems to me that a screen capture should record whatever is dispalyed to the screen regardless of the software that gets it there. I may have also changed some settings that are causing this issue. I want to know:

1.) Are the compatibility problems with VSPX5 and Open GL graphics?

2.) Are there specifc settings that need to be in place to capture Open GL screen displays?

Thanks in advance for your help,
