PSP X3 locks up

Post by mkhenson »

I'm not good at PSP at all, and I know I am not using the most current version, but it seems to fit my need. I have been working on an invitation to party, and have saved it multiple times. I got it to look the way I wanted, exited the program, but this morning when I try to re-open it, the entire program locks up. It it saved in the PSP format. Would someone be interested in seeing if you can get this open, so I can continue to edit it? The thumbnail looks good, but for some reason I can't get the thing to open. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Move the file to it's own folder with nothing else in it. I've had problems with the thumbnails before trying to save to an odd format (don't recall what format at the moment, it wasn't a .pspimage file) and it would lock up PSP if I navigated to that file. Don't know why, I got around it and moved on. You could also try right clicking the file you want to open and click Open With PSP so PSP doesn't have to use the browser.

thanks for the reply, but I have tried everything. The thumbnail looks great, but it still won't open. I downloaded a program that will convert pspimage files to jpeg, and when I convert it, I only get part of the entire file. It appears my file didn't entirely save down when i exited PSP after I made the file. Another comment about the file, it is huge, about 32 meg.

You have said you saved it multiple times. An afterthought I know, but if you are working on something extensive it is a good idea to save it multiple times but under different names so that if something does go wrong you have at least one back up item to go back to and do not use too much information.
It sounds like you have had some corruption during your last save, bad sector on hard drive,/ electricity fluctuation/etc.
