Sorry, don't think that's possible.
Most software is so proprietary that it won't work with features of other software even in the same genre unless they're both made by the same vendor (and sometimes not even then). It's a function of money and marketing - they want all you got.
Of course, someone could prove me wrong.
Good luck,

Sorry, must have been hungover when I wrote that last reply
. . .
The last reply meant that you usually can't access the features of one software from another. That doesn't mean you can't still apply the effect.
Do your capturing and editing in VS. Export the clip you want to apply the effect to using a lossless codec, like Huffyuv (avi format). Import the clip into VideoFX and apply the effect(s) that you want. Now, export it using the lossless codec again. Insert the new clip into your VS project (or maybe use it as an overlay?) and you're done.
It requires jumping through a hoop or two, but it probably won't take too much time and the lossless codec will not degrade the quality of the clip.
Good luck,

According to Canopus, the VideoFX package can be used with both Ulead MediaStudio and VideoStudio. They only list UVS 5.0, 6.0 and 7.0, but that doesn't mean it doesn't work with 8.0 and 9.0.
And then there is the free DebugMode Frameserver, which works with V8.0 and probably V9.0. This would let you integrate different applications and use their respective plugins.

That's exactly what I'm asking about. HOW do you use them?
VideoFX doesn't have any interface for editing actual video or adding it's effects into video's, ALL it does is create .FBP files which it reckons can be used in VS - but I can't find how to do that in VS.
Thanks

Disclaimer: I don't have the VideoFX package so I have no first-hand experience with them -- all I can do is glean information from the Canopus forums where I am registered.
When you go to the Effects list in UVS, do you see a new Canopus effect? If so, add that to your clip, and then click on the Options button for the effect -- that should let you choose and customize all of the VideoFX effects. At least that's the way it works with Ulead Mediastudio.
