Re: saving to pc ?
I understood from your post on the 10th January in another topic that you had already transferred your video to your PC - in that other topic you are now asking about splitting the video - so you already have the video on your PC - if you are viewing it in VideoStudio then presumably it is already .mpg so can be viewed in Media player.
What is it you want to do now.?

here is the problem im burning a bunch of old tapes to dvd for my sister and she want just to split them into auto chapters. i cant get corel to work but can get nero to do it easy so if i can capture the vid with corel in playable form then i can auto detect chapters with nero i tried the auto scene detect with corel and it found way to many

Re: saving to pc ?
have you used the USB grabber to import the video into VideoStudio - if yes then the videos are on your computer in playable form.
The capture should have put a thumbnail in the library - RIGHT click on it and from the fly-out choose "locate on computer" that will show you where they are.

Re: saving to pc ?
Using "auto detect" to create chapters is a waste of time in my opinion. The number of "chapters" detected depends on the amount change in a frame from the previous frame. If there is a big change then you will wind up with a lot of "scenes (or what you call chapters) and that is often not really what you want. O have found that it is a lot better to manually set the chapter point when you are in the burning stage. With "auto chapters" you may have to go back and look at each chapter created and decide whether you really want a chapter at that point. In the end you spend the same amount of time as if your had done it manually in the first place.clamman1 wrote:here is the problem im burning a bunch of old tapes to dvd for my sister and she want just to split them into auto chapters. i cant get corel to work but can get nero to do it easy so if i can capture the vid with corel in playable form then i can auto detect chapters with nero i tried the auto scene detect with corel and it found way to many
If you have captured the video to your hard drive then it is in a playable form.
