It took about an hour to compile everything but I can say that it does work now. Mostly its faster than running in a virtual box. Not sure its faster than ASP or Darktable running natively in Linux. But the solution does give hope that in a few weeks or months other bugs will be worked out and LR in Linux will be viable.

I didn't try the new patch, but I'll try it soon. Anyway, there are still some minor issues with LR on Linux but it is very usable and I hope by the end of the year Codeweavers will propose a Crossover version that supports Lightroom 4.
