I've built a new box and loaded ASP. I've made several attempts to transfer the catalog to the box. Most result with the message.....File is not empty,,,,,,,
Is there a correct way to transfer the Catalog to the new machine ?? Search revealed nothing.
Thanks

Re: Move ASP catalog to new machine
The sensible way is to have image files with XMPs and then rebuild the catalog.
An adventurous user might try the moveable path option of the catalog.

Re: Move ASP catalog to new machine
Thanks.
I've got my xmp's, just have to sort out the ones that have been converted. I've only imported those images that I converted in ASP. I have another program for management.
Time to be adventurous and try the Mobile Catalog routine.

Re: Move ASP catalog to new machine
Well it wasn't as adventurous as I thought it would be.
I moved the ASP Catalog folder to the new machine.
Used the Open Catalog routine, selected the old catalog, and it's there.
Had to change my Drive letter to match the old machine and it appears to be working.
YMMV, I have a small group of images in the catalog. Don't know if the same routine will work with 1000's.
