Video Studio 6. Colour image will only play in black & w

I have just purchased a Belkin Hi-Speed USB DVD Creator, and Video Studio 6 was included. When i play back my analog video from a Sony Handycam, the image is in black and white and not colour. Does anyone know if there is some setting i need to change?

I don't have the Belkin product, so cannot comment from personal experience. However, I seem to recall that others on this Board have had a similar problem with the Belkin cable -- as have I with another analogue capture device. The black and white capture appears to come when you connect your analogue source (in my case an analogue camera) to the capture device with an S-video cable. That also gave me black-and-white. But when I changed to RCA composite cables, I got colour. The only problem, though, is that you would probably get slightly better quality through S-video if it actually worked!
