WinDVD pro 11 playback issues

I have tried WinDVD for some days and was pleased with the playback of Blu-Ray discs and DVD discs.
So I bought it.

Now I came accros two playback issues:

- Playback of original Happy Feet Region 2 DVD disc fais (winDVD crashes, it runs on a Windows 7 64 bit OS)
- Playback of Ripped Prometheus Blu-Ray Disc to harddisk fails, get "media not supported" I rip the Blu-Rays to keep the original Disc Clean. The discs are to expensive to let my kids handle them with care. So I rip them to HardDisk.

Are these known issues?
