I am using windows8, and am trying to install PSP9, and PSPX. During the installation of psp9 I get to the "registering modules" and it gets hung up and will not continue. My computer shows it installed, however I cannot open it .
I have deactivated my virus protection during installation. Could the 64 bit be causing the problem? I have read that windows7 with 64 bit allows for installation. I just ordered psp5x and it is being shipped. I would love for psp9 to be installed before it arrives.
thanks in advance

@fowlstack
By chance I have a PSP9 box still on my desk and the box says it's for Windows 98, Windows 2000, ME and XP.
Please have a look at PSPX5, which works fine on Windows 8 32-bit and 64-bit.

Re: Installation problems - PSP9
It you have RETAIL/ESD version PSP 9.01.01 (something like that
) then install it on Windows XP an copy only installed dir (C:\Programs Files\Paint Shop Pro 9) to computer with Windows 8 somewhere in User..\Documents for example, where you have full access read and write. No activation is not needed.
