Video changes format on DVD

Video changes format on DVD
I am relatively new to Video Studio and am using Pro X4. I have successfully produced a number of projects but when saving them to DVD or to .mpg file after a couple of seconds the playback changes from 16:9 to 4:3. The original videos were shot in 16:9 and from what I have seen all settings are also at 16:9. If a theme template is used then this runs at the correct format. Any ideas as to where I should be looking to overcome this.
