[Solved] no longer starts after installing opencl

Post by DeaconMacmillan »

Im running ubuntu 12.10 and I installed the new updated version of ASP 1.1.30? adn everything went fine until I tried to install opencl suport. I installed the amd app sdk and was off to the races or so I thought. instead ASP no longer loads. I can see the splash very briefly, and then it crashes, if I try it from the terminal instead I get this there is no mention of segfaults or anything obviously wrong. other opencl programs seem to work. I tried removing all plugins and the like.

I fixed it. it appears that the new APP-SDK (2.8) was the incompatible bit. I install -f'ed the older version (2.7)and low and behold nothing broke and now ASP is starting happily.
