Creating Multiple Items on Top Menu

Post by oaninc »

I want to have more than one clip show on my top menu and then when selected, have submenu selections specific to each top menu choice. It should be simple according to the manual but I can't make it happen. I even tried using multi-trim to create the sections but when I go to create/edit menus, there is still only one choice, the first clip. Does anyone have a solution? I'd really appreciate it.

If your videos are "physically" different files (and not clipped sections of one file), then they should show up in the Title Menu (top level when you have Title and Chapter menus selected).

Creating Multiple Items on Top Menu and then have submenus

Thank you George. Actually, I found that you didn't need to have different physical files. If you continually added in the same physical file, after choosing the segment you wanted each time, that also worked. So I got multiple items on the top menu. BUT, then I couldn't create the submenus that I wanted for each of the segments. Do you know how to do that?

Chapter submenus

Boy do I feel dumb. I just hadn't clicked on the edit chapter title selection. Re-adding the same physical file worked for the main menu. Tech support said there is also a scissor/trim buttom under the preview window that can be used to split the clip into several parts to make it appear in your main menu. Thanks again for your help.
