problems with size of scans X4 and X5
When I try to import from a twain bron. Canoscan lide 210 says the picture is 10x15 cm = about 4x6 inch. Looks alright. But after import the size of the picture in PSP x4 and X5 is 4x6 centimeters. So somewhere it's going wrong.

Re: problems with size of scans X4 and X5
What you are seeing is the scanner twain driver is giving you one dpi (or ppi if you so choose) and when it gets to PSP it converts to the default dpi. As long as no pixels are lost it's the same image, just with a different dpi setting. If you scan the image at 72 dpi, and you haven't changed the default for PSP it reverts to 200 dpi. Since you're cramming more pixels per inch the image gets "smaller", yet you haven't actually lost anything.
Try scanning at what ever dpi PSP is set too and see if things will retain their size. Larger dpi settings in the scanner WILL result in longer scan times. Conversely you could also go into the settings of PSP and set that to what you're scanning too.

Re: problems with size of scans X4 and X5
Not sure of scanning at all in x4 or x5. I find that both will crash at any time during scanning. I have just scanned 98 family photos and the most I could get out of either program before a crash was 10 scans. (They were all 300dpi scans of old black and white photos).
In future I'll be looking for another program.
