According to http://product.corel.com/help/PhotoPro/ ... image.html, I should be able to sample a color from the desktop. This doesn't work when I try to capture a color from a web page displayed in IE 10 (desktop mode).
It does work with Chrome, and I suspect other browsers as well (haven't the time to try them all).

It doesn't work for me either. I will escalate it today.

Re: Sample color from IE 10 window doesn't work
Works Quite OK for me in X5. Although I puzzled over point 2) from the Choosing a color from the desktop.
I reduced the size of the X5 window so I could see the desktop, and an open image in irfanview and also an open pdf file with some color.
1. Choose the eyedropper.
2. Move the eyedropper over the Foreground box and hold the control key down then go sample the color with another click. It is as if you are dragging the foreground or background colour box to the new colour while holding down the control key but not click and drag. Click when you have the new color under the cursor.
I guess it could be worded a bit differently.
"2 Position your pointer over a color or properties box on the Materials palette or in a dialog box."

@ hardpaul
Therefore I escalated it as a Help file problem. Users can expect to get a simple instruction and not something where they have to puzzle about.
