New Blue audio filter corrupted

Post by Leif G »

I use Video Studio X4Pro (version 14.1.0.150) Now I suddenly have discovered that something is wrong with the
New Blue Audio filters. They are listed and I can enable them, but when I click on Options there are no adjustment
buttons, only some text that looks like the default settings. I wonder what have happened?
I recently had the trial version of New Blue Stabilizer installed and uninstalled, could that have affected the filters
in some way? But otherwise I can't remember if I have done anything that could cause it. I have uninstalled a few
things that I didn't need but can't remember what they were.
Anyway, the question is what should I do? Do I have to reinstall the whole program or is it enough if I reinstall some
Content pack or Bonus pack if the New Blue filters are included there?
I don't absolutely need them,I can use a separate program for editing, but sometimes it is convenient to use them.

I honestly don't know the answer, though I too have a set of the NewBlue audio filters (which appear to work though I have only ever played around with them briefly. Like you, I usually use a third party audio editor for fine tuning my audio.)

But you are only likely to get an answer here if someone has had a similar problem to yours and has solved it. However, the NewBlue support staff are usually very responsive and helpful, and work to resolve problems with their products. So if you get no positive response here, I would try them. Not sure about this time of year, though...

I guess I would also try reinstalling the audio filters first, just in case you did accidentally remove something essential to them.

Thank you Ken
I have just discovered that the New Blue 3D transforms doesn't work either.
I was a bit surprised to find it,it must have come with my last update.
But whatever,it doesn't play and when I click on Customize nothing happens!
Support is an alternative. I have tried their One time priority support once.
But I'm not sure it covers such problems as this.
You are right of course about this time of year not being good for asking questions.
I will make a try to sort it out myself.

Are you absolutely sure you bought the NewBlue filters designed to work with Corel? They have separate packages for some other editing programs which won't work with Corel e.g. their current Video Essentials VI pack hasn't yet come out in a Corel versions...

I haven't bought anything from NewBlue as far as I know.
But I see now that I have one called "NewBlue Sampler Trans" wich is included in VS X4pro.
It's 5 different transitions, one of them,Pizza Boxes is also included in NewBlue 3DTransforms.
As I said I don't know how that last one got there. I can't find anything related to NewBlue i the programs.
So how do I uninstall it? I don't think I need it,I am not much for fancy transitions.
More important is to sort out the problems with NewBlueAudio filters.

To be frank, I didn't know that NewBlue audio filters came as part of the VS package. And now I can't really tell, since I installed the NB audio filters as part of the package (Video Essentials I - IV) that I bought from NB.

Hopefully someone else who has not bought anything from NB will be able to help...
