VideoStudio X5 ULTIMATE Quality VBR Error

hi,

i have a problem with videostudio creating wmv files.
whenever i try to create my own profile i get the errorcode: 0x80070005
"Windows Media Encoder An Error has occured. If the error continues, consider realoading the session file, starting a new session or restarting the encoder"

i already restarted videostudio but i still get the same error.

i try to use quality vbr for video and audio. i also tried cbr for audio and quality vbr for video. i always get the same error when i try to add the target bit rates. i'm using wma 9.2 and wmv9.

edit: seems like it has something to do with the framerate. the corelprofiles have a framerate of 15fps, which is a little bit low but they work without an error. is it possible to increase the fps to 30 without an error?

If you installed Windows Media Encoder, this is not compatible with Windows 7 64-bit http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... x?id=17792 - you may want to remove it and update the codecs on your computer.

that didn't solve the problem, however i think i figured it out. seems to be a bug with videostudio trying to create new profiles.

my solution:
create your own profile with the windows media profile editor. there you can change all values like you want without any error. save the profile to the desktop and copy&paste it to the encoder/profiles folder of the windows media encoder folger in your programs folder.
after that you can select that profile within videostudio and everything works.

It may be a windows operating system issue..although i am not sure if this is the same problem

I do not know about the error message, but there has been some issues in creating your own WMV profile relating to permissions.
