It looks a lot better. The problem with the grid seems to be gone, but 1 time I was shocked, I saw a red rectangular area, probably a little bit transparent, after I modified the corners. The size of this red area was about 10% of the monitor. I couldn't reproduce it a 2nd time. Old zPerspector xmp-files do not work anymore. A batch with over 40 old photos was finished extremely fast, 0.3 sec for a photo, normally it takes 5-10 sec. To say it in other words, there are no perspective corrections with old files. Thanks a lot for your work!

thanks for your feedback!

that the 'old' xmp-files do not work anymore is not normal.
i did absolutely nothing change on the internal processing engine. all modifications are 'just' about stability improvements. could you maybe try to clean up your cache for processing these 'old' files?

Please tell me what I have to do, to clean the cache?

Do you mean

Code: Select all

rm -r ~/.AfterShotPro/cache/*

i don't know your exact path/directory.
but it should be the sub-directory 'cache' in the asp-settings-folder.
the settings folder of asp can be seen in the preferences of asp (menu 'File' --> preferences --> general --> 'user folder location').

I have lost my zPerspector values (again), it is not enabled, so it is clear, why I cannot see a correction when I process the photos. To loose corrections is very annoying. Maybe this is an ASP "feature"?

@ubuntuuser
I am seeing the same issues that your picture 'wasserhahn.bad_0001.jpg' exhibits.

@tintin
I suspected that this was due to the zFrame, zShadow, zText relationship and experimented ....

I find that by enabling zFrame and setting the size of Frame 1 to 0.01 the lines disappear!

This is with ASP 1.2.0.7 and the latest versions of all the zXxxxxx plugin

Perhaps this will help with the troubleshooting ...

@Hobgoblin

the latest version works fine now-

Which operating system do you use?

zPerspector is the only plugin, which was installed in the last months, after a fresh install of ASP.

My only problem is that I loose the correction of zPerspector somehow.

zPerspector 2.1.2
Linux Mint 15

I suspect this may be, at least in part, a graphics driver issue.
I now find I cannot repeat it on another installation with a different graphics card! :?
Since the JPEG output does not contain the lines I am happy to put this down to another of the many quirks that ASP exhibits.

Thanks for you interest

Indeed, but I have a Radeon Graphics Card.
In general terms the driver in the Mint distribution is better than the now deprecated AMD offering. :(

Unfortunately the problem is not solved. I had a very weird situation, the 1st photo of the series of a Sony RX100 (arw) showed the bug, while the 2nd photo did _not_ After a few crashes of ASP the grid in the 1st photo could not be seen anymore.

Sorry, I didn't test this time, if the lines are in the output.

The lines in the sample before disappeared in the output after I changed the graphics-driver. In the meantime I processed a lot of photos without any problems. It is a mad thing, but I think I should leave a note about this. My main problem at the moment is, that ASP doesn't work with the newest Linux distributions.
