Color replacement with varied shades

Post by sisom »

Hi, I am trying to change the colour of an object in a photo, but when I use the colour replacement pen, it only changes parts of the object, and it changes it to one colour exactly, not shades of that colour (to match the shades of the original colour). Is there a way to do this with a pen object, rather than trying to select the object using the lasso tool? It would be much quicker for me if I could just put a pen over the object, which is blue, on a green background, rather than painstakingly select it all.
