X5 Pro Ultimate
Default colour duration 6
Default transition effect 4
Jpeg images in overlay tracks (3 or 4)
As part of a slideshow I have applied transitions inbetween the colour clips but they are only working in the video track colours and not the images in the overlay tracks that are on top of the colours tracks. Is there any way of getting the overlays to transition too? ...................Ken

Not sure what you mean by "default transition effect 4" - is that a standard transition - then it will have a name like "burn", "box" or "crossfade"
either way unless your transition is something special then in version X5 you can apply transitions straight into the overlay track, so just add whatever transition you have applied to the colour blocks to the join between the jpegs and set the same time duration as the one in the top track.

Re: Transition insertion to work on overlays as well
If you want to do transitions from the main video track to the overlay tracks and back again, I have a tutorial video about that. You can see it at:
http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=48554
Keep in mind that whatever you have on the overlay tracks will always show in preference to what you have on the main video track. If you have color clips in the overlay tracks, they will block whatever you have in the main video track.
Hope that helps!

OK so that's a time setting - not a transition number.
surely an image time of 6 seconds and a transition of 4 seconds doesn't give you much time to view the image.

That is right, much too short, that is another mistake on my part. Can I lengthen this without causing a load of Sync issues?-Not had a chance to look at the link yet-thanks though.
