Hey guys.
I found a post here that says the best way to increase the volume in a video is to normalize all clips individually.
I tried that but for some reason my video would get all buggy with I split the clips into video and audio and then normalized the audio.
Buggy in the sense that at playback it would just stop as if stuck and wouldn't play.
Then I tried creating a media file despite the fact but it would not do so.
Fast forward I am out of time for a project so I went to every clip and changed the audio percentage instead.
In sum, my question is, is there a way to increase the volume for the whole video before or after the mp4 output is created?
Somehow the overall volume doesn't seem loud enough.
Thank you.
Is there a way to incerase the volume of a video all togethe

I do not know a way to increase the volume of all clips in the timeline at one go - as soon as you select more than one clip the options panel is not available - and the other option to paste attributes does not seem to work either.
It is possible to change the volume in the finished mp4 but it does require another render.
start VS with an empty timeline and put your mp4 in it - open the options panel and adjust the volume - now to preserve your new volume setting go to "Share >> create video file" and either choose "same as project settings" - or manually choose the same settings that you used to create the first mp4.
you should now have a new mp4 with the increased volume.

Hi
As a workround you could Share Create Sound File
This will create a wav file of the entire project
Place the new file in one of the Audio tracks
Mute the other video clips, mute the first clip then use Copy and Paste attributes to set mute to all clips.
Adjust the volume level of the new clip

Just an addendum to Trevor's reply... I would only do what he suggests once I have added all titles and transitions, and done whatever other editing needs to be done. That way you will have a next to final version, and the newly created sound clip will have the right length. Otherwise, you will have the audio going out of sync with the video.
