Wow! Imagine that!

Never mind - someone will develop a plugin for it...

That's your solution - dump ASP for a converter that works...

Capture one is miraclous on details level, HR is fantastic, too. Excellent results are almost instant, just a few sliders away. How terribly different against all the old Bibble/ASP fiddling with curves, Bez plugin, different denoise, very careful sharpening with more different plugins... And all that deliver just mediocre results on pixel level against latest capture one.
So sad to see dying such excellent workflow concept, because of insufficient image quality. Corel, wake up!!!
Well said, Andy.

As of right now, ASP is far and away the least capable, most disappointing, and just plain worst commecial converter available: it's a complete car-crash in terms of image quality.

And (as usual) developers dicking around at the edges with things like OpenCL improvements while ignoring serious bugs and showstopping IQ issues, is an insult to the paying userbase.

It's not just Capture One 7 Pro either: it has long been accepted that Lightroom is in another league to ASP in IQ and usability terms; Photo Ninja's IQ is an order of magnitude better (and it's remarkably quick and easy to use); DxO Optics 8 is likewise far, far superior.
