Canon 6D
The Canon 6D is out, and is getting strong reviews for it's full frame capabilities. I've put in my request for Santa. When will it be included with Aftershot Pro ?

Re: Canon 6D
Well if I was you I wouldnt hold your breath waiting for the RAW support.
There has been new RAW support in ASP since the first part of 2012.
I am still waiting for RAW support for the Fuji XPro1. There will be other cameras such as Sony RX1, NEX5R, NEX6 not to mention many others that all need to be added.
Corel have dropped the ball with respect to ASP.
They have concentrated on OpenCL support which is a who cares item except for game boys. It adds little/nothing to the product functionality but has required the plugin developers to rewrite the plugins for it to work with the newer versions of ASP.

Still learning after all these years!

Hm. I posted a short reply that didn't make it (don't know what to make of that).
After spending about 20 minutes on Corel's site looking for contact information on support--I gave up. You give me the support address, and I'll be happy to send of an email and follow-up.

Re: Canon 6D
You can only access support when you log-in to your Corel account on Corel.com. You create an account when you register the product.

Re: Canon 6D -- Quick Update
Concerning creating a support ticket on the Corel site to ask about 6D is still not possible--and I'm registered. I've even done a ticket before, and I can review it. But, I can't create a new one.
I tried to send an email to support@corel.com --but it was returned.
I'm running 1.1.0.30 version, so I went and commented through the beta survey.
That said, the 5D MKIII is supported (and the 600D). These are both recent models and I expect Corel to include the 6D rather soon. It's in the top 25 for Amazon DSLRs.
Also, I do have DPP running under Wine which keeps me from being completely dead in the water.

I'm not. I have no expectations of support for any more cameras. I expect to have to use something else for my next camera. I'd like to be proven wrong.kumsa wrote:I expect Corel to include the 6D rather soon.

Re: Canon 6D
Thanks "meeck" ! I find AfterShot Pro amazingly powerful. It's just weird to me that I can make all the RAW edits I need to get the image right, then flip into GIMP for any pixel touchups. Very fast, very clean.
Looking forward to working in 6D !

Checking in. Let me know if you would benefit from an experienced beta tester.
The Canon 6D is now #9 in the Amazon DSLR best seller list. Amazing.

This is a user forum that has seen very little of those responsible for the actual product. Lots of not so happy users BTW.

Re: Canon 6D
I was forced to check Darktable to process some RAW files from 6D, and they did good progress in last year. I will keep eye on it, and if I will use it more often, I will try to help developers to make it better.

Re: Canon 6D
AutoPano Pro now supports 6D RAW. It's impressive tool, supports Linux, and does an amazing job creating panoramas.

Re: Canon 6D
Just got my new 6D and can't process any RAW files. Is Corel still developing AfterShot Pro or do I need to switch to Lightroom or something else? Anyone has any idea? Users or Corel employees???

Re: Canon 6D
Well, while I'm still listed as one of the Admins here, I've not been very present. I'm here asking as a potential customer to ASP. I recently upgraded my photography gear to a Canon EOS Rebel 4Ti. I was hoping that one of Corel's apps would be able to handle the *.CR2 raw format. PSP 14, and Corel PhotoPaint will import/open them, but does a horrible job. The images has a pinkish overlay to them. So I D/L the trial of ASP, as it claims to support Canon's 3Ti, which uses the same CR2 raw file format as the 4Ti. I can't get the program to open or see any of my raw files.
So my question(s) is/are (after reading about the fire and how some may think that ASP is a dead program...
Did Corel drop it?
Are there any other Canon DSLR users that use a 4Ti (650 D) that have had any success editing the raw file using ASP?
