WINDVD Pro 11: Playing 3D Blu-Ray with Anaglypth 3d

Post by technoandrew »

I've successfully watched a 2D blu-ray using WINDVD Pro 11, and I've also successfully watched a 3d wmv video file in the software using the 3D mode with anaglypth glasses. However, when I try and play a 3D blu-ray using analgypth technology, the program brings up a message saying 'could not detect a 3D display' and wouldn't play it. The 3D mode was on and set to anaglypth. I have a non-3d LCD monitor, connected to my PC via an HDMI cable.

I tried opening WINDVD and setting the 3D mode, options etc right, before putting in the disc, but no luck.

Does anyone know if what I'm trying to do is possible, and if so, how?

Cheers

can you try selecting the AUTO option under the 3D Settings then make sure you select the correct DiSPLAY MONITOR.

Sorry I've left this for so long.

Anyway, I've tried using the Auto option, but still no luck. I set it to 'Auto' and anaglypth before inserting the disc, but the disc would work appon loading. Also after loading, I can still select 'Auto', 'On' or 'Off', but it would allow me to select the display monitor (the buttom fades and stops working).

If anyone else has any suggestions on how to get it working I'd be very greatful.

Cheers
