Hi and Thank You to anyone helping me!
Some background. I originally loaded the X5 Ultimate software in the spring 2012 on my older Dell XPS600 computer. The motherboard was fried in November 2012. So now I have to reload all my applications again on a new computer. I loaded X5 Ultimate using both DVD's successfully, and even loaded the "Do More" content as well. However, I have very limited template content. For instance using Instant Project - Complete I only have 1 option to choose from. It seems the Bonus Content (containing templates, menus, theme packs, etc) is missing.
However somehow I had all this content on my old (but fried) computer. I originally contacted Corel with this issue in the spring 2012, and they sent me a link to get the bonus content. I loaded the bonus content and everything was fine until the motherboard fried.
I have contacted Corel again, but now I am out of my warranty period (so soon?). So I have been trading emails with them (seems you can't speak directly with anyone in Tech Support???) and getting nowhere. They keep sending me email saying I should check the knowledge base and the website. I did and nothing...
I am hoping that the fertile minds here can help. I need to make a video for my nieces wedding ASAP. I just need to download the bonus content, and I will be good to go. Thank you again for any help offered.
Jeff
PS: If anyone knows where I can buy extra bonus content, I am interested in that as well. You can never have enough movie templates, menus and especially wedding theme packs...

I also have X4 Pro. Would the content pack from X4 work on X5? If yes does any one know how to transfer installed content things from X4 to X5? Just a thought...

Re: X5 Ultimate Bonus Content Missing
If you install VS X5 using both disc and the "Do More" content then you should have all the bonus content installed on your PC except if you are talking about the bonus content that was sent to you via email when you register the product. If you still have that email, then you should be able to redownload them again.

Re: X5 Ultimate Bonus Content Missing
Hi
I assume you have purchased the Disc version of Video Studio?
As far as I know the Instant Projects will be installed by the program disc (Disc 1) not the second (Disc 2) named Special Effects Value Pack.
When I view the Instant Projects library I see 31 templates in the beginning section. A similar amount in the Middle, Ending and Complete sections.
The Custom library page being populated by downloads from the Do-More section.
What do you actually see in the Edit Library. View the Photo, Image and Sound pages. Selecting the images in the library should work ok, do you have any problems?.

Re: X5 Ultimate Bonus Content Missing
Hi Trevor,
Thank you for helping me again. When I select Instant Project, I see the standard folders: Beginning, Middle, Ending, Complete, Custom, HTML5 and Test.
• When I select the Beginning folder I see only 1 template: T01 24_HM_General03.wvs
• When I select the Middle folder I see only 4 template: T01, T02, T03, T04 named: 01_Simple04.wvs, 02_Simple03.wvs, 03_Simple02.wvs, 04_Simple01.wvs respectively
• When I select the Ending folder I see only 1 template: T01 24_HM_General03.wvs
• When I select the Beginning folder I see only 1 template: T01 02_SS_General02.wvs
• When I select the Custom folder I see 47 templates: These templates are the ones I have downloaded from the “Do More” section and the free template offered from the good folks at PhotoVideolife.com
• When I select the HTML5 folder I see 3 templates: HTML02.VSH, HTML03.VSH, HTML04.VSH
• When I select the Test folder I see only 1 template: HTML05.VSH
It seems to me that, I only have some sort of default templates; even though, I purchased and installed from the X5 Ultimate
boxed set. In fact on my old computer (before it died) I had many more templates… X5 did install the other bonus content ProDad, Boris Graffiti, etc.
SOME ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I have reinstalled X4 Pro, and in a pinch make my video using X4, because it has many bonus templates, etc…
I also have the hard drives from my old computer, and I purchased a hard drive enclosure; therefore, I can read my old hard drives via USB3.
Wondering is there a way to copy the templates from X4 to X5, or even is there any value in copying the X5 content from my old hard drive to my new computer?
Once more thank you Trevor, Abiel and everyone else for your patience and all your help.
Best Regards
Jeff

Re: X5 Ultimate Bonus Content Missing
Abeil,
I have the Daily Romance Template Pack and the Positive Vibe Template Pack, but they will ONLY install to an X4 folder. Is there anyway to force them to install to X5, or an easy way to copy them from X4 to X5. Thank you.

Re: X5 Ultimate Bonus Content Missing
Hi Jeff
Have a look at the files locations ............
For XP they are here:- C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X5\EditingStyle\Style
For Windows 7 I think they are in Program Data/Corel
I see all 31 files for the beginning instant projects.
I assume you will also see these files.
Try Resetting Video Studio to its default factory state:-
Manually resetting Corel VideoStudio Pro X5 to its Factory Default Setting
