Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On....

Post by DayO »

I uploaded an .AVI-format video, edited with VS Pro X5, and the posted result showed the titling shaking when it appeared--
even after YouTube techs themselves edited the video...

The titling doesn't shake in the exact same video posted to another video-sharing web site; neither does it shake when viewed on
my computer or on a DVD player...

Any suggestions about how to get rid of "the shakes?"

Can you give us the format properties you used, please (right click the video in the VS timeline)? "Avi" doesn't tell us much since there are over 800 video formats which call themselves .avi -- though in this case I am assuming you are possibly using a format such as DivX or XVid...

And can you confirm that you added the title in X5. Was it one of the preset samples, or all done manually or by another program?

Properties:

Microsoft AVI
30 fps
Data Rate (of a typical frame) 245.28 kbps

Compression:
MPEG-4 decoder DMO
Attributes:
24 bits, 640x480

I added the titling in X5; they were preset samples with my own edited wording, colors and font sizes.

If the same video is not shaking when you uploaded it on another video sharing site then the problem could be on Youtube side. did you upload th video using the UPLOAD TO WEB option?

Can you try creating an MP4 video file by going to SHARE > CREATE VIDEO FILE > CUSTOM

After creating the MP4 file, upload the video using any web browser like Firefox or Internet Explorer and login to your Youtube account.

Tell us if the same thing happens.

Yes, I used the Upload To Web option on YouTube...not sure what YouTube techs can do to stop the shaking...strange that the titling
continued to shake after they edited it...

I'll give your suggestion a try, Thanks!
