I just realized that the default is set to 20, which is too aggressive.
However, I don't see the way to change it in preferences.
Do I need to change the compression factor with every single save ? Or is there a way to set it in program defaults ?
Any way to change the JPG save defaults ?

Whatever you set it to, it will remember that setting the next time you save a JPG.
Using Paint Shop Pro versions 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 14, 16

It appears it does it per window so the setting in "Adjust" is diffrent from "Edit".
Thanks !

I never use Adjust so I'd never noticed that.

Re: Any way to change the JPG save defaults ?
Just used the Adjust mode in X4 and did a Save As and selected Options to change the save quality to 10. Repeated with another image and Save quality was remembered as 10. Closed X4, reopened and again opened an image and did a Save As and checked the options and the Save Quality was remembered as 10. So no problems here .
